Very quaint little airport, mostly hassle free, friendly staff.
Negatives: No shelter from rain if you're getting on or off planes. No shelter waiting for a taxi either.
Ripoff £6 drop off / parking fee.
(Old £10 Airport Development Fee now discontinued.)
New signs have gone up at the airport entrance, £100 fine if dropping people off by roundabout to McDonald's or opposite Holiday Inn in Delft Way. Not sure what the exact "safety" exclusion zone is? Probably doesn't extend past McDonald's if I can believe the map that I found. See picture in this review.
If a taxi is picking you up you can request they drop or fetch you from the Holiday Inn. Its less than a 5 min walk to the airport entrance. Head straight across the parking lot to the small gate very close to the Holiday Inn parking lot exit.

£6 for a 2 min drop off is a rip off !! Not even an option to change your mind as they get you stuck in a single, one way lane, so it forces you into paying it! Disgusting from Norwich Airport.

I’m still here. I want to leave.
This WOMAN, who looks like she was called Janine (but goes by Jan) CAME ALONG to me and my dad in the security line and told us to show her our clear plastic bags with our liquids in (fair enough) - we get out our regular bog-standard plastic bags, and she says “no, can you put them in these plastic bags, those are too big” and gave us two OTHER plastic bags. WHY DOES IT MATTER???? IT’S A PLASTIC BAG NOT APOLLO 15??? I have never felt more stressed. I’ve been to Stansted with MY MOTHER and been less stressed. If that woman was on the plane people would leave via flushing themselves down the loo.
THERES ALSO NO REGULAR, PLAIN, FRIES AT THIS RESTAURANT. I woke up at five. I want a chip.
My mum dropped me and my dad off, right. Okay, so you expect it’ll be simple, drop and go. THEY MADE HER PAY SIX GREAT BRITISH POUNDS all for us to hop out of the car. SHE WAS THERE FOR 20 SECONDS. She paid six good hard-earned great British pounds to be there for 20 seconds.
The airport also looks and feels like I’m sat in someone’s front room so do with that information what you will.
